I tried to post some things on Dawn Eden's site
She says she's a Catholic, and a chastity speaker. I'd like you to read the posts she deleted. She's puts up posts by high school students, that show how bad they are, but when she has someone with breadth and knowledge post on her site, she deletes them. She doesn't delete all the nasty stuff the kids put up - so what is she really trying to do?
"Unless you've had a hysterectomy, there is no reason to think you cannot have children. God works in mysterious ways, and many women have children in to their '40's. It is not your decision, if you choose to live your life as God wants you to, and He brings someone in to your life."Ok. That's not true. Some STIs can make a woman sterile. And, maybe if you talked about STIs, you might have convinced at least 3 people not to have sex. People referred to your speech at our school as a "waste of our time," and "the worst chastity speaker I've heard in my life." I have to say, I don't think you convinced anybody with your speech. All you talked about was how your sex was good, but we're not supposed to have it. And, you talked too much about irrelevant life stories. Next time, you should probably refer to some facts, like 1 in 4 sexually active teens will contract an STI this year.To see how poor your speech was, I'd refer to Pam Stenzel. She gets the point across, and she convinced so many people, just watching her "Sex Has A Price Tag" video. You should watch it, and get some tips.BTW. I'm 14. I'm Deirdre, I am not Dawn. I don't know why you're addressing her. If you're 14, can you explain how the STD's make women infertile? Part of that is true, but you need to know how it affects women. It's the scarring, and my statement is still true. I am still shocked that children that were in the womb only a decade and a half ago are such critics, and are so jaded to think they know it all. News alert: you're not. Pam Stenzel says she doesn't care if you have sex or whatever. She should care. All adults should care that kids don't mess our world up.deirdre 05.06.08 - 11:13 pm #
I think it's the Canadian kids who are backward. It's like they're jungle kids or something, raised by wolves.We are created by God to want to have children, and not to want to have sex in an illicit manner. It will get to you sooner or later, whether by so many slips in immorality, or by getting pregnant. All the ''sex ed'' advice in the world will not save you from your true desire not to use condoms or mess up your cycle with birth control pills.deirdre 05.06.08 - 11:16 pm #
Why do girls wear short skirts so often anyway? Do they think their legs look so good? Do they realize (or care) that basically anything can get a teen boy interested in sex? You could be covered up in a birka and still be seen as sexual by a teen boy. Showing off your legs just shows that you have no depth of intelligence, whether emotional or intellectual.Dawn, what is wrong with you? I am not responding to my own comments. Hmm, perhaps you do deserve the abuse you are getting. Some of the comments by the students have made me think that perhaps you didn't give a good speech. You know, Dawn, I do think you're mixed up. If someone comes to a site, and as a Catholic from birth, gives good and solid info, and you say that person is ''hogging" something - you've committed a sin, and you don't even get it. Please stop hogging the Catholic Church, and trying to make others feel unwelcome. There isn't a sane Catholic in the world that would have said what you said to me. Couldn't you have said something nicer? If you exhibited that attitude towards the kids, perhaps they picked up on it, and that's why they're angry. I didn't respond to my own posts, and I wasn't hogging anything. Kids, blast away. She's hurting the Church, and maybe you're bringing this into the open. And from what I've read by Catholic critics of your book, you emphasize too much your sexual adventures. Get over yourself. If you regret things, then put them in the past, and stop bragging about them. Otherwise, you don't truly regret them.deirdre 05.06.08 - 11:27 pm # ''

You don't delete the students who write nasty things, but you do delete what I've just written. Why don't you want real criticism? You want the students to look like idiots, which they do, but you don't want anyone pointing out that maybe you're not the best person to be addressing their kids. You make too much of your promiscuous past. I can't believe you've gotten awards for Catholic writing. Kids, did the teachers and principal read Dawn's books beforehand? Did they know how much emphasis she puts on her past life? Even Catholic writers have pointed out that she talks about her past too much. If she regrets it, she needs to get over it. Dawn, you didn't make the comment about contaception, I did, and the student responded to it. I think there's a lot more of Dawn that needs to convert.''

In response to several excellent pro-life posts, Dawn told me not to ''post to myself" which is ridiculous - I wasn't, and not to ''hog" things. Some Catholic. Who is Dawn, and why is she always talking about her exploits? Do you want her to speak at your group? Maybe you should re-think her speaking at your event. If she regrets her past life, which she should as a Catholic, then why is she always talking about sex?
